“Gone to Bookmakers” Most of the money stolen had gone to bookmakers, said Detective F. N. Kobinso in the Magistrate’s Court, Lower Hutt, yesterday, when prosecuting a young man. whose name wns suppressed, on three charges of theft of money amounting to £25/10/-. He stated that accused stole £7/10/- from his employer’s coat, £lO/10/;- from a drawer at his em ployer’s premises, and £7/10/- from a duchess in his landlady’s house. Accused was admitted to probation for two years an-i ordered to abstain from gambling. Restitution was ordered.
