BOXING CONTESTS
Schmeling to Meet Winner of Louis-Farr Bout (Received July 28, 9.15 p.m.) New York, July 28. The United Press News Agency states that the German boxer Schmeling will be matched with the winner of the Louis-Farr contest at Philadelphia in October. At Nutley (New Jersey) Tony Galento defeated Al Ettore by a technical knockout in the eighth round of a twelve-round bout. Farr was a spectator. At Philadelphia Henry Armstrong knocked out Benny Bass in the fourth round of a ten-round bout. Pedro Montanez knocked out Wesley Ramey in tlie first round of a Hollywood contest with a left to the jaw, eliminating the final’ obstacle from his path to a world lightweight title bout with Lou Ambers iu Hie autumn.
