W.E.A. LECTURES
A number of lectures of special interest will be given for the Workers' Educational Association at the Trades Hall, Vivian Street, Wellington, next week. Ou Monday night Mr. E. C. Simpson, 8.A., will continue his course of illustrated lectures on “The Understanding of Modern Art,” and will deal with the work of “Communist Artists and Others.” On Tuesday evening Dr. Nicol will give his second illustrated lecture on "Greek Art and Architecture,” and will consider "Greek Drama.” Dr. E. Beaglehole’s psychology ..class will meet at 7.45 p.m. on Wednesday for the study of “Early Childhood.” Ou Thursday night at 8 o’clock. Mr. J. Cornes, B.Sc., will conclude his film talks with moving pictures to illustrate the development of the weaving industry. Mrs. Craig Mackenzie, M.A., will begin a course of ten lectures on “Recent Developments iu the Drama” on Friday at 8 p.m., and her lectures will be illustrated by readings from 'the works of leading modern playwrights. The discussion hour at the close of the tutor’s lecture is a special feature of the W.E.A. courses, aud/ all interested are invited to attend.
