GAME OF BADMINTON

Wellington Association A special general meeting of, the Wellington Badminton Association was held last night in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute. Wellington. Mr. D. O. Whyte presided. It was decided to increase the membership subscription from 6d. a member to 1/- a member, and to combine the offices of secretary and treasurer. The rules are to be amended to conform to those two decisions. The secretary-treasurer is to have an office in the city and is to be paid an agreed remuneration. Mr. J. B. Black was elected secretarytreasurer, and Mr. A. McLean honorary auditor. It was reported that four teams had entered for the inter-club matches, together with 12 in the B grade, and 13 in the C grade. Four new clubs had affiliated, bringing the membership of the association un to 914. The four new clubs are Vauxhall. E 3, English-Speaking Union, and Lower Hutt High School Old Pupils’ Association,
