Fruit Prices a Little Easier The cold weather during the past few days has been responsible for a slight, casement in Wellington fruit ami vegetable prices generally. B grade eggs have dropped twopence, and are now 2/8 a dozen. Other grocery and provisions’ prices have not changed. Pork sausages are up a penny a lb. The following summary of ruling prices, supplied by the Wellington Master Grocers’ Associalion, applies to Wellington city and suburbs only, as in the case of country towns priced will probably be affected by freights:— Groceries and Provisions. Jam. —-Second grade, Uh. tins 9d.. to 21b. tins, 1/5; first grade, lib. th:* 10d. to 1/1, 21b. tins 1/7 to 2/-; 11b. glass jars, 1/4 to 1/9; 21b. glass jars, 1/11 to 2/10. Honey.—Bulk honey, 10d. lb.; eartons, plain label, lid.; finest clover, 1/1. lb. Bread.—Fixed prices, lid. for. 41b. loaf; 5Jd. for 21b. loaf. This applies to Wellington city, Eastbourne, Lower Hutt and Petoiic.
