PACKING FLOWERS

To pack tlowens So that, they will not be damaged in transit, first procure a strong cardboard box. If the box does not seem strong enough to withstand much handling, strengthen the ends and sides with strips of cardboard. Now place on the bottom a layer of cut grass, and on this bed spread out the flowers. As you build up add more grass padding to the sides, ends and tops. Always stuff the box completely so that the" flowers cannot shake about. Besides acting as padding, fresh grass tends to keep the blooms in a freshened condition. Finally, wrapt the box in strong paper and then tie securely, using two crossbars of strong string.
