YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Wellington.—A strong and squally northwesterly wind blew all yesterday, and the weather was cloudy and threatening. The minimum temperature on Wednesday night was 56.3 deg., the maximum yesterday 62deg., and the temperature at 3.30 p.m. yesterday Gldeg. Rainfall at “The Dominion” building for 24 hours ended 11 p.m., .Olin. Total for the month, 2.52 in.; for the rear, O.SOin. Palmerston North.— Fine and clear with a light westerly wind. Masterton. — Dull and overcast with rain threatening. Light westerly wind. Wanganui.— Brilliantly sunny, practically no wind. W’aipukurau.— A perfect day of bright sunshine. Temperature at 5 p.m., 72deg. Napier and Hastings.— Another glorious day. cloudless in the morning but with a slight haze developing during the afternoon. Light northerly breeze and warm temperatures. Auckland. — Fine „nd warm with a cloudless sky. A light and variable wind idew. The barometer showed u rising tendency. Christchurch. — Fine and warm. The maximun'i temperature was "3.8 deg. The barometer fell slowly and registered 29.73 in. at 5 p.m. Dunedin.— Fine and warm in the morning with practically no wind. In the afternoon the sky became slightly overcast at times, and there was a light breeze from the south-west. The temperature reached a maximum of 68deg.
