Reflector

Cyclists are warned by the Transport Department that as from to-mor-row they come under the scope of the Traffic Regulations, 1936, which contain certain conditions which must be complied with. Many cyclists have ignored, and are still ignoring, Regulation 2, which provides that a bicycle must, have on the rear mudguard either a red lamp or a red reflector of a make and type approved by the Minister aud placed so as to reflect to the rear a light shining toward it from rearward of tlie bicycle. There is a further provision that eueh bicycle shall display at the rear a white surface pf at least 12 square incites. It is emphasised that cyclists are just as much bound by the regulations as motorists, and that steps will be taken to see that the regulations are properly observed.
