MILK FOR SCHOOLS
Start in Wellington
To-morrow
Children attending Wellington city aud suburban schools will receive their first ration of milk to-morrow morning under the national scheme for free distribution.
Final arrangements were made at a meeting yesterday of representatives of the Smith Family, Education Board, Health Department, and the Corporation Milk Department.
Tlie'scheme was originally to have been put into operation about three weeks ago, but because of the desirability of having suitable boxes made for the reception of the half-pint bottles at the various schools the distribution was deferred until these were obtained.
All is now ready aud the pupils will be given their milk ration to-morrow at the customary morning break.
