FAREWELL PARTY

A most enjoyable party given as a farewell to Miss .Sheila Coates (who left yesterday for her home at Dargaville) and arranged by her friends, was held ■at the home of Mrs. N. Davies, McAlpine Avenue, on Saturday night. There was a large number of young people present, and the evening was spent in dancing. A buffet supper was served in the lounge room, which was attractively decoraterl with roses, arum lilies and larkspurs. Dancing took place in the billiard room. Miss Coates was wearing a slim-fitting frock of ivory satin. Among those present were: Mrs. N. Davies, Mrs. H. R. Baigent, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Williams, Mrs. A. Downer, Mr. and Mrs. G. Robertson, Mr. and Mrs. R. Hoare, Misses Diana and Betty Waters, Betty Johnson, Peggy Hyams, Joan Roskruge, Molly Neale, Lola Kelly, Audrey Picot, June and Trixie Hargreaves. Mifawny Barraclough, W.
