AFTERNOON PARTY

A hundred aud forty guests spent a delightful afternoon in the palm lounge of the Hotel St. George yesterday when Mrs. Noel Nelson and her daughter, Mrs. Rodney Thomson, entertained their friends at afternoon tea. Cigarettes were at hand for the guests to enjoy at their whim, and neatly uniformed .attendants served tea and coffee and wheeled round trollies of delectable savouries and cakes. Mrs. Nelson was wearing a hostess gowu of eggshell blue lace, with a finger-tip jacket to match, and a widebrimmed picture hat in the same shade.
