Dance For Christmas

Party Funds

Another successful social and dance was held by the Home and School Association, in aid of the Te Aro School Christmas party funds, on Saturday evening, when Mr. G. 11. Chapman, M.P., was the guest of honour. In thanking Mr. G. A. Vincent for the cordial welcome extended to him, Mr. Chapman expressed pleasure at being present and congratulated the committee of the association on the success of the evening, and assured those present that the Government would find the necessary money with which to improve the school grounds, thus fulfilling a long-felt need. Those responsible for the success of the evening were: Mr, W- H. Chinn (convener), Mr. 11. J. Rogers, Mrs. G. Whiterod, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Plackett, Mr. and Mrs. M. McNamara, Mr. and Mrs. E. Howley, Mr. G. A. Vincent (M.C.)', and Mrs. Vincent, Mrs. L. Tennant, sen., and. Mr. H. S. Tennant.

Mr. J. Logie and Mrs. 11. Hawk won the “Monte Carlo” competition, while Mr. T. Lord and Miss F. Cowan won the “Lucky Spot.’’ During the evening several items were contributed by Miss Valerie Jackman.
