Quality Entries at Annual Show Although the entries were not quite so numerous as usual, the quality of the animals entered in the annual show of the New Zealand Toy Dog Club, which was held in Wellington recently, was outstanding. Auckland and Christchurch dogs were of exceptional merit, drawing favourable comment from the judge, Mr. H. Hinchliff. Wellington, who had a most difficult task selecting the prize-winners. Mr. J. Robson was the ring steward. The awards were made as follows: — Best Dog in Show (all breeds).—Mrs. W. ,T. Jorgensen’s Pekingese. General Tanadees; best bitch (all breeds), Mrs. A. Palmer’s Pomeranian, Ohariti Fancy Sunray. Best puppy (all breeds), also best novice and junior. Mrs. W. Read's Pomeranian, Sunshine Gold Boy. Rest puppy, under six months, Mrs. F. Rogers’s Pomeranian, Jennie Dawn. Pomeranians. —Best dog. Mrs. A. Palmer’s Ohariu Fancy Sunray; best bitch, Mrs. Moxham’s Phar Lap. Best veteran (any breed), Mrs. O. Linklater’s Pomeranian, ch. Brooklyn Patsey; best, opposite sex, novice (any breed). Mrs. E. Law’s Pomeranian Marigold Star Dust. Best brace and best team, Mrs. A. Palmers Pomeranians; best opposite sex puppy (any breed), Mrs. C. L. Ridgen’s Pekingese, Chiity Wuli of Montresor. Best O.W. Pomeranian.—Mrs. Robertson s Prince Charming; best opposite sex, Mrs. A. Palmer’s Ohariu Orange Lady. Best Sydney Silky terrier, Mrs. A. C. Caskie s Roimata Trixie Anne; best opposite sex. Miss G. A. Mclntosh’s Sandy. Best Sydney Silky puppy, Mrs. A. C. Caskie’s Roimata Philip. Best Australian terrier, also best novice ami puppy, F. S. Marchant's Boy Blue; best opposite sex, Mrs. T. R. Boyes s Mangahao Blue Star.
