APOLLO SINGERS

To-night at 8 o’clock in the Town Hall Concert Chamber the Wellington Apollo Singers will give their final subscription concert for the 1936 season. Under the conductorship of Mr. H. Temple White the choir will give a number of entirely new pieces, including among others “Zut Zut” (Elgar), “O, No, John” (Thiman), “The Arethus-a” (Jephson), and a negro spiritual, “Somebody’s Knockin’ ” by Granville Bantock, In addition to a number of old favourites there will al-so be two numbers composed by oue of the choir members, H. N. Vivian. The assisting artists are Miss Zillah Castle, A.R.C.M.. exhibitioner of the Royal College of Music, London, and Warwick Humphreys, boy soprano from Christchurch. The accompanist will be Mrs. R. G. Caigou.
