MANY PRESENT

Popular Studio Dance

Vivid ieeland poppies and other colourful blooms added a gay touch to Miss Gwencthe Walshe’s studio on Saturday night, when she gave another of her very popular studio dances. There was an excellent attendance, and one and all thoroughly enjoyed the excellent music and also the tasty buffet supper that was served mid-way through the evening. Exhibitions of the latest ballroom crazes were greatly appreciated and novelty dances were very popular. The Chinese novelty was won by Miss M. Dickenson and Mr. J. Cowles; and the rainbow dance by Miss Fairweather and Mr. J. French. Miss Walshe was wearing a frock of ivory satin, and her sisters, Misses Moira and Shirley Walshe, were in pastel-green taffeta and white net with gold appliqued flowers respectively.
