RESIDENTIAL NURSERY
Lower Hutt Afternoon
Mesdames Hooson and Beasley were hostesses at a delightful afternoon in aid of the Lower Hutt residential nursery, held at Mrs. Hoosou’s residence. Tug afternoon took the form of a bring-and-buy stall,-and the very satisfactory sum of £7/10/- was realised. Competitions held during the afternoon were won by Miss Beryl August and Mesdames Lowe, Lines and Hayden. Items were given by Mesdames Dillon and O'Shea, and were enthusiastically received. At the conclusion of the afternoon, Mrs. A. Burgess, president, expressed thanks to the hostesses. Those present included Mesdames Archer, Van Borssum, August, Sen., J. August, J. W. Andrews, Charlesworth, Lady Luke, Dennis. Pool, Clark, Lines, Lowe, McTaggart, Wright, O’Shea. Hayden. Holliss, Charters, Flux, Forbes, Watts, 11. Mitchell, D. Burgess, Fauvel, Dillon, Akers, Campbell, and Miss J. Fauvel. Mrs. J. W. Andrews was the accompanist.
