CRICKETER SENT HOME

Disciplinary Measure By Indian Authorities TROUBLE IN ENGLAND (Received June 21, 7 p.m.) London, June 20. Amarnath, the Indian cricketer was sent back home this morning as a disciplinary measure. He says the trouble arose in the Minor Counties match.

“I previously had been batting fourth or fifth, but on that occasion I was told to put on my pads and was kept waiting for four hours,” he said. “I went in seventh and when I came out I threw the bat and pads in a corner. I said nothing against the captain, the Maharaj Kumar Vizianagram. Whatever I said to the other players I did not intend for the captain. My teamfellows pleaded with the manager, Captain Jones, to give me another chance, to which the Maharaj Kumar was agreeable, but apparently I was blamed for letters to India complaining of the method of running, the team, although I had not written them. I am most distressed and wept throughout the night, but I feel better now I have got the explanation off my chest.”
