WELLINGTON EAST OLD GIRLS
Dramatic Society Evening A departure from the usual programme of the Wellington East Old Girls’ Dramatic Society was made recently, when a most successful visitors’ evening was held in the society’s rooms in Lower Cuba Street.
The programme of one-act plays presented was in the hands of Miss Doreen Cunningham, who was responsible for an excellent and varied entertainment. A favourable beginning was made by the presentation of a dramatic sketch entitled “The Second Guest.” This was succeeded hy “Eleven a.m.,” “Boccaccio’s Untold Tale” and “Seven Women,” all of which had been carefully cast and were well read. Those who' took part included: Misses D. Cunningham, J. Murdoch, M. Denton, N. Millar, M. Maehell, R. Sturroek, B. Combs, D. Jameson. J Wilkens, I. Franklin, G. Ockenden. A. Duff. 11. Mitchell, E. Bell. J. Sinel. J. Weeber, E. Webster, P. Cowan, F. Henshilwood and M. Leach.
