MIRAMAR LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

The monthly meeting of the Miramar branch of the League of Mothers, held recently, was a most successful one in every way. The hall was filled to capacity and friends from other branches were cordially welcomed. Special pleasure was felt in the visit from Mrs. Charles White, Dominion president, who congratulated the branch on its strength, and said she believed that wives and mothers were the better for (lie influence of the league. . The choir provided musical entertainment, and Mrs. Wall read Longfellow's poem, ‘’Children.” as an introduction to a talk by Mrs. Rollings, who had been specially asked to repeat her beautiful and inspiring address, “The Little Palace Beautiful.” A vote of thanks was accorded Mrs. Rollings, and afternoon tea was served after the singing of the National Anthem.
