KIA ORA CLUB
Dance and Card Evening To mark the opening of the 193t> season, the New Zealand Kia Ora Club held a dance and card party last night which was well attended and very much enjoyed by members and their friends. This wag the lirst of a series of such evenings which will be held throughout the winter months, and the enjoyment expressed last night certainly promises well for the club’s future activities.
A large studio with an excellent floor was used for dancing, and those who preferred less Strenuous entertainment; played cards in an adjoining room.
Airs. Alartin Innes, honorary organiser of the club, who was wearing a dress and short coat of amethyst ripple velvet, received the guests and acted as hostess for the evening. Assisting her was Airs. L. A. Pulley, vicepresident.
Among those present were Mrs. Green. Mrs. Nicholson, Airs. Hutchison, Aliss Kitching, Mr. A. Pulley (bon. secretary), Air. and Mrs. Al. E. Nolan, Mrs. and Aliss Frederickson. Mr. and Mrs. E. J.
