GIFT AFTERNOON

Mrs. C. .1. Baker, Ilaiinioaua, was hostess recently at a pleasant gift party given for Miss Gwen Willis, a Wairarap.i resident, who will shortly be married, and who is staying with her sister, Mrs. C. J. 11. Baker. The drawing-room was tastefully decorated with bowls of pink Howers and foliage. After tea had been served, the guest of honour opened her gifts and thanked everyone for their kindness. Those present included Mrs. C. J. 11. Baker, Mrs. Yule and the Misses Yule. Mrs. Ralph Yule, Mrs. Goodriek ami Miss Goodriek, Mrs. Agnew, Miss Hawthorne, Mrs. F. L. Gordon, Mrs. W. Neilson. Mrs. J.
