AI OF FITT—G I. E E SON. Tlie engagement is announced of Alice Catherine, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Gleeson, Waipawa, to Frederick, youngest sou of Mr. and Mrs. J. 11. Mollitt, of Napier. LADY GALWAY VISITS ST. MARY’S HOMES Iler Excellency Lady Galway paid her first visit to St. Mary's Homes, Karori, yesterday morning, accompanied by Mns. Purvis. On her arrival her Excellency was met by Mrs. Wallis, president of tlie committee, and Miss Parlane, the head matron.' Children of tlie homes provided a guard of honour for her Excellency, and after her arrival she was presented to members of tlie committee. Among those present were: Lady Shirtcliffe. Miss I’owles (the treasurer). Archdeacon Hansell and the Rev. F. M. Kempthornc (the chaplain).
