To-day’s Recipe NOUGAT BISCUITS

Half a cup rolled oats, J of a cup flour, 1 cup sugar. 1. tablespoon golden syrup, 2 tablespoons hot water, 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda, 4oz. butter. Mix the oats, flour and sugar together. Melt the butter, add syrup and water to it, remove from tire, add the soda, then stir into dry ingredients. Mixwell, and drop in teaspoonfuls on to greased oven-slide. Leave room for spreading. Bake in a moderate oven.
