.Miss Shona AVilliams is a Gisborne visitor to Wellington. .Miss 51. AA'ebb. Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. G. M. Spence, Blenheim. Miss Irvine, of Weir House, left by air yesterday for Dunedin. Sirs. A. Cornelius, Wellington, is visiting her mother, Mrs. J. ,J. Corry. Blenheim. Mrs. J. 11. Miles, Wesley Hoad, win is visiting Taupo, will return home tomorrow. Miss Barker, Dannevirke, is the guest of Miss Margaret Miles, AVesley Road. Miss M. Legge, who lias been visiting Sirs. E. Broad, Wanganui, has returned to the Stratford Hospital. Mrs. C. S. Mearen, Christchurch, and her daughter. Miss Helen .Mearen, will arrive in Wellington this morning for the Robinson-Stevens wedding. Mrs. Les Travers, Day’s Bay. who has spent some weeks with her father, Mr. S. L. Partridge, Fendalton, Christchurch, returned to Wellington yesterday morning. Miss Catherine S. Forde, M.A., Dip. Ed., of the staff of the Government Correspondence School, is spending the autumn vacation at Waitomo Caves.

Miss D. B. Speedy, Palmerston North, left last week, with Mr. and Sirs. F. Armstrong and Sir. Brian Armstrong, for Sydney, en route to Japan and the East. Mrs. Slitford, Bolton Street, will leave by the Rotorua to-morrow for a visit to the United Kingdom. Dr. and Mrs. Bertram Mitford will leave by the Tamaroa on Monday, and will spend a holiday in England. Miss Adamson, a Canadian nurse, has arrived in 'Wellington, having been given a scholarship from the Canadian Mothereraft Society to enable her to come to New Zealand to take a course in Karitane and Plunket nursing. Miss Adamson will enter the Karitane Hospital here, and then will go on to Dunedin.
