N.Z. ALPINE CLUB
Annual Meeting Held There was a representative attendance at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Alpine Club. The annual report, which was adopted, disclosed a growing interest in mountaineering, and an increase in the membership of the club. It was hoped to have a new hut erected in tlie Dart Valley in time for Christmas. The election of officers resulted:— President. Dr. E. Teiehelmann: vice-pre-sidents, Messrs. J. W. Aitken, 11. C. Chambers, R. Ellis, and S. A. Wiren; hon. secretary, Mr. .1. S. Shanks; lion, treasurer. Mr. J. W. Petherick; hon. auditor, Mr. C. McAllister; committee, Messrs. L. V. Bryant. 11. K. Douglas. J. D. Knowles. A. J. Scott, P. C. Weenink, and H. F. Wright.
