SHEEP WORRIED
Alsatian Dogs at Paekakariki Several eases of sheep being worried by dogs have taken place lately in the Paekakariki neighbourhood, and have been traced to a couple of alsatian dogs. The sheep showed signs of having been savagely attacked, in most cases the entrails having been torn out. Last week two alsatian dogs belonging to Paekakariki residents were caught in the act of sheep-worrying. One was killed out of hand, but the other is still at large. Steps are being taken, however, to have it destroyed.
