OBITUARY

Mr. Henry Hall The' deatli occurred on Saturday, at his residence in Hill Street, Wellington. of Mr. Henry Hall. Mr. Hall came to New Zealand from England as _a very young man. He arrived in 18"4 on board the St. Leonards, and was continuously a resident of Wellington from then until his death. .Mr. Hall entered the legal profession, and for some time acted as associate to his uncle, Sir James Prendergast. Chief Justice. Afterward Mr. Hall was for some years Registrar of the Supreme Court in Wellington. From 1599 to his retirement in 1921 he practised in partnership with Dr. Charles Knight. He was known for his knowledge >f patent law, and for thorough and painstaking work in his profession. He will be long remembered for his kindliness and consideration for others. Mr. Hall leaves a widow and three sons—Mr. Peter Hal), of “The Haldons." Marlborough; Dr. James Hall, of Maldon, England; and Mr. David Hall, of Wellington.
