BOWLING TOURNEY
Event at Masterton GOOD ENTRIES Dominion Special Service. Masterton, January 21. Excellent entries have been received for the Greytown bowling tournament, to be played on the Masterton and Masterton Park clubs’ greens, in‘the near future, and not to-morrow as previously arranged. Play will commence at 9 a.m., sections A and B being played on the Masterton greens, and section C on the Masterton Park greens. Five games of 12 . heads each will be played, with a restriction, on dead-heads, one each being allowed, with a penalty of two points for any subsequent ones. The tournament is being run as a" benefit for the Greytown club, and the record of thirty competing rinks shows the popularity of the annual fixture. Given fine weather, the tourney should prove enjoyable from every point of view, and should be productive of some verv’high-class bowling. Hart (s.), beat Harris (sub.), Steven, Simmonds. Whyte (5.),30-7; Kilmister, Page, Stubbs, Pink (s.), beat Meyrick (sub.), Williams, Riggs, Dykes (s.) 17-16.
