Johnsonville Sale -Average yardiugs were forward at the Johnsonville stock sale, held yesterday by Wright, .Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd. The cattle yarding comprised good quality heavyweight bullocks, and prime quality cows. Bullocks met with a good demand at prices firm on last week’s rates, while cows sold on a par. A small offering of vealers of inferior qualify met with a keen demand. Wethers which were of good quality met with a dragging sale with little demand. Ewes, which came forward in usual numbers sold at prices from 1/to 1/6 per head decline on last week’s rates. Lambs met with a ready sale at late rates.

Masterton Values Masterlon, January 21. Competition was keen at. the weekly Masterton sale to-day, but b.f. rape lambs were slightly easier than last week. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Distributing Co., Ltd., submitted a good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs, effecting a clearance at the following range of prices:— Sheep:. Assn., Ltd., offered a big yarding of both sheep and cattle, the sheep entry comprising mostly lambs, which sold at prices in advance of any previous sales held in the district this season.
