Lowenberg Gallops Well Dominion Special Service. Hawera. January IS. Steady rain throughout the proceedings hampered training at Hawera this morning, and there was very little serious work done. The trial grass was soft after heavy rain overnight. Enhancing bis prospects in the Wellington Cup. Lowenberg pleased by beating Knock Out decisively by three-quarters of a length over six furlongs in 1.21. Lowenberg hit out very freely, relishing the easy nature of the going. Knock Out workeil satisfactorily. The remainder of the galloping was of an uninteresting nature. Carfox ran live in 1.9. and Aga Khan wont a similar distance in 1.94. Waiongona sprinted half a mile in 54 1-5. Bantry ran five in 1.12. Kentucky Song sprinted two in 264. and Ingenuity went six in I.2(‘>J. Ruaform did n mile workin'" gallop. FIXTURES.
