At the country race meeting at Kempscy the horse Anianull.ih. its owner. Mrs. K. Denham, trainer, It. Denham, jockey, A. Walmsley, and a youth named I>. Davis were all disqualified for life, following the alleged discovery of a battery. There were only four starters in the Stott Cup. and in full view of hundreds of spectators Walmsley, the rider of Amanullah. was ordered 1.0 dismount bi’ a policeman while on the way "to the barrier. The jockey wits searched, and later, nt an inquiry, it was alleged that a battery had been handed to Walmsley by Davis, acting under instructions from Denham. It was also stated that a battery was found on the jockey.
