Allocation For Past Two Quarters No. 10 LICENSING DISTRICT Dominion Special Service. Mastertoil, January 13. The first allocation of heavy traffic fees in the No. 10 licensing district since the new basis of distgributioi. was agreed upon at a meeting of all contributing local authorities on December 2 has now been made by the clerk of the Masterton County Council, the distributing body. In view of the lengthy dispute prior to this conference, allocations for the quarter ended August 31, 1935. were not made, and this time allocations have been made for that quarter as well as the quarter ended November 30, 1035. The total amount of fees received for these two quarters was £3120/12/3, less £4(5/18/3, commission Io the Mastertou County Council, and the figure for the corresponding period in 1034 was £2841/10/8, less £42/13/8 commission. .As the result of the local bodies conference the basis of allocation was changed from counties 80 per cent, and 'boroughs 20 per cent, to counties 75 per cent, and boroughs 25 per cent. Under the old system the counties received £2239/1/- in 1934, while in the same period the boroughs received £559/10/-, these figures being for the quarters ended August 31 and November 30 combined.
