LOANS TO GERMANY
Moratorium on Securities Berlin, June 24. The Minister of National Economy, Dr. Schacht, lias declared a complete moratorium on all maturities arising from Germany’s medium and long-term foreign obligations to America and other countries with which Germany has no clearing or transfer agreement. The moratorium does not affect British creditors, and will operate from July 1 for a year. The action is attributed to the deterioration in the exchange situation.
