Review of Year’s Activities The seventh annual report of the Woburn Bowling Club states that the membership at the close of the season was 50 active and three honorary bowling members, with 23 croquet members. The report records with regret the deaths or Mr. V. Riddiford, the patron, Mr. W. N. Dempsey, a past president and foundation member, Mr. G. Cudby, and Mrs, club is in a sound financial position, its liability having been reduced by fs The following are to be congratulated upon their winning the various events Senior singles and Wilford Cup, Mr. A. H Overend; junior singles and Junior Cup, Mr. S. Becky; champion pairs, Messrs T. R. Jones and Tamblyn (s.); champion rink, Messrs. Overend, Lawless, Mclntosh and J. E. August (s.). The croquet committee reports that the lawns were in excellent order during the season. The three champions of the club, Mesdames Cleland, Marsden and Jameson, competed in the champion of champions, and although not so successful as the last year’s representatives, put up quite creditable performances. The following is a summary of the various competitions helding during the yearA grade championship, Mrs. Cleland; run-ner-up, Mrs. Walker. Intermediate championship, Mrs. Marsden; runner-up, Mrs. Nicholas. B grade championship. Mrs. Jameson; runner-up, Mrs. Pearce. Handicap singles, Mrs. Mclntosh; run-ner-up, Mrs. Cleland. Club pairs, Mesdames Walker and Pearce. Consolation event, Mrs. Coatman.
