JOHNSONVILLE WIN
Willing Play Between Packs In a game in which only good work in the loose enabled the home team’s forwards to hold their own against the visiting pack, Johnsonville beat Miramar at Johnsonville by 10 points to _3. Good work by the Johnsonville back line resulted in the scores being obtained. Toward the end of the game, play becoming confined to the forwards, was very willing indeed. Johnsonville kicked off against the sun, Miramar attacking in some snappy forward play. Then Kelly made a good run for Johnsonville, being forced out just short of the line. The spell saw much forward work, the territorial advantage being even, and. the Johnsonville backs took up the attack toward the end of a scoreless spell. Johnsonville took the initiative at the beginning of the second spell, Mason finishing off a good movement to score in the corner. M. Kenny put over a fine kick from the side-line. Then Kelly started a movement from which Lindsay scored beneath the posts. Kenny again converted. Miramar took play back, and from a penalty Dawson put over a good kick.
