COUNCILLORS RETIRING

Work For Kairanga County Palmerston North, April 9. It was announced at the close of this morning’s meeting of the Kairanga County Council that Crs. P. G. Mildon and R. A. Mercer were not seeking re-election at the forthcoming county elections. The chairman, Cr. D. Collis, said Cr. Mercer bad served on the council for 10 years and had taken a great personal interest in the affairs of the county. Cr. Mildon had served as a councillor for nine years and his counsel on financial 'matters had been valuable. Tlie council decided to record its appreciation of the retiring councillors’ work in the council minute book.
