MASTERTON ELECTIONS

4, Position of Candidates Mastertoll, April 10. Advice has been received from Mr. J. Walker, who until recently had fully intended agreeing to nomination for the Masterton, Borough Council, that, owing to business reasons, lie bad found it not desirable to seek election. It has now been announced that a poll will be necessary for the election of the two Wairarapa representatives on the Wellington Harbour Board, as Mi. B. Roberts, < f Carterton, is being nominated. The two present members, Mr. T. R. Barret, chairman of the board, and Mr. Hugh Morrison, have already signified their intention of seeking re-election. Owing to a sudden and very serious illness. Mrs. W. 11. Jackson has advised that she will not be seeking re-election to the Wairarapa Hospital Board.
