POWER BOARD PICNIC

Maidstone Park Outing Some 130 persons attended the annual picnic of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board at Maidstone Park on Monday. The weather was perfect. Among those present were Mr. E. F. Hollands, engineer and general manager; Mrs. L. Stewart, wife of the chairman of the board; Mr, and Mrs. J. W. McEwen; Mr, and Mrs. J. Maher'; Mr. W. Greig and Mr. A. Walker. The men mentioned are all members of the board. The chairman of the picnic committee was Mr. L. R. Aidrich, the secretary Mr. B. McCarthy, and the following were committee members: Messrs. Mcßain, Talmer, Clout, Dawson, Reidy and Miss Gunn. The A. W. Press Cup was won by S. Palmer, while H. E. Mcßain won the Walker and Horman Cups.
