BAD LANGUAGE
Lower Grade Rugby Games By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christcliurcli, May 2. The prevalence of bad language on the football Held, especially in lowergrade games, was deplored at a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union by Mr. U. T. Burrows, and on his motion it was decided to write to the clubs and to the Referees’ Association in an endeavour to have such language checked. Mr. Burrows said it seemed that bad language was practically unchecked by referees.
