GOLDEN WEDDING
Hyde—Ross At St. Mary’s Church, Wellington, on May 1, 1884, the wedding took place of Daniel Dee Hyde and Martha Ellen Boss; and on Tuesday of this week their golden wedding was celebrated at "The Ritz,” when a number of friends and relatives had the privilege of tendering their congratulations. Mr. Hyde arrived in Wellington in 1874. His father was well known in the Blenheim district, and he himself was Chief Poultry Expert in the Government service for eleven years. Later he took tip farming in Paraparaumu, and he and Mrs. Hyde came to live in Oriental Bay in 1930. Mrs. Hyde was born in Dunedin.
