Happenings About the Town A remand to March 28 was (granted in the case of John Paton Hardy, a compositor, aged 29, in the Police Court on Saturday when he appeared before Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., charged with the theft of goods worth £5, the property of Mary Vera Rankine. Bail was renewed. With an injured right knee received through ■ slipping while ' walking at Plimmerton yesterday afternoon, Mrs. E. Miller, who lives at 6 Minerva Street, was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
A dislocation of th<l right shoulder was received by a waterside worker, Mr. J. Tait, of 87 Eden Street, when he fell at Island Bay yesterday afternoon. He was attended to by Dr. R. B. Martin and taken by the Free Ambulance to hospital.
