Scotland Yard is inquiring into Danish press allegations that Dr. Geralich, the German inventor of the “winged horror,” a rifle bullet with a velocity of 4000 miles an hour, and a new type of rifle barrel from which the bullet is fired;’ has been using British identity papers, though a native of Kiel, states the “Daily Herald.” It is alleged that Geralich spent several months in an English village. He is now experimenting at a famous Danish armamehts factory.

The “winged horror”, is similar to the dum-dum bullet, but is more destructive. It penetrates half-inch armour plate.
