ABATTOIRS STRIKE
Wage Reduction Resisted Sydney. November 4. Employees at the Homebush abattoirs are striking as the result of the decision ot the employers to enforce 2/- a week reduction in the basic wage. Unless the men resume on Monday, the Stock market will be seriously dislocated. POSITION COMPLICATED (Received November 5, 7 p.m.) Sydney, November 5. The master butchers will meet again on Monday to consider the position, which is complicated by the decision of one employer not to enforce the reduction.
