BRILLIANT CONCERT

Symphony Orchestra There cau be no doubt, after the splendid audience in the Town Hall last evening, that Wellington appreciates its Symphony -Orchestra, and is especially ready to support and enjoy the programmes in which are included the names of visiting celebrities. In the absence of their Excellencies the Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe, who were unable to be present, the Vice-Regal seats were occupied by Lady Myers, Mr. D. A. Ewan, Mrs. A. Andersen Tyrer, Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Bendall, Mrs. C. Whyte, Spenser Medley, Mr. Robert Parker, C.M.G., and Mr. Pigeon.

Ewen, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Kidson, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Pringle, Mrs. A. E. Palmer, Mrs. H. D. Vickery, Mr. L. D. Austin, Misses Batham (2), Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tombs, Mrs. Rogers, Miss P. Rogers, Miss M. The programme sellers, who did yeoman service, were Misses Janet Steele, Ruth Townley, June Luckie, Joyce Clere, May Manoy, Mildred Boyd-Wilson, Janet Miles, Joan Fenwick, Mary Rice, Barbara Basset, and J. Gaudin.
