CHILDREN’S THEATRE
“Jack and the Beanstalk” will be presented by the Children's Theatre at the Condbrt Chamber this Saturday and the following Saturday afternoons, commencing at 2.30. This pantomime has been produced by Isobel Andrews, and has a large and interesting cast. There are many exciting moments, especially when the beautiful princess, who is kept in a cage by the giant, is rescued by Jack. The dances, which are a special feature, have been arranged by Margaret Pearson, and the director is Mr, F. 11. Dawn.
After an 18-months’-old girl had been playing on the beach at Long Beach, New Jersey, her mother carried her to the waves and dipped her in the water to wash away the sand. The child died Immediately—of fright, according to I'medical evidence.
