VITAL STATISTICS
Fewer Deaths Recorded A marked decrease in the number of deaths compared with the corresponding period last year is a feature of the Wellington vital statistics for October. The number of marriage licenses issued has increased considerably, and births show a slight increase. The figures for last month are as follow, those for October, 1932, being given in parentheses: Births, 101 (158) ; deaths, 81 (102) ; marriage licenses, 121 (95) ; marriages by the registrar, 28 (20).
