Music Circle Evening The usual monthly meeting of the Music Circle of the Pioneer Club was held on Wednesday evening. The club room was cosy, and prettily decorated with Iceland popples and spring flowers. The programme, which had been arranged by Mrs. Ivon Wilson, was of a varied nature, and was very much enjoyed by those present. A paper on “Music,” prepared by ’Mrs. Wilson, was read by Miss Ella Fair, after which the following items were given:—lnstrumental trios. “Waltz” (Careneo), “Gavotte” and ’•Syncopation," Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Yeates, Miss Goodson; songs, “Angels Guard Thee,” ‘‘Love’s Lament,” “Thou Art Like a Flower,” and "A Brown Bird Singing,” Mr. Newton Goodson; songs, “The Old Clock,” “Trees,” “Ay-Ay-Ay,” and "I Know Where I’m Going,” Miss Monica Malfroy; ’cello solos, “Aria” and “Orientate,” Miss KGoodson; songs, “The Harvester’s Night Song,” “Beautiful Beatrice,” and “Serenade," Mr. Ivon Wilson; songs, ••Daffodils,” "Go From My Window,” and “The Rose Enslaves the Nightingale,” Miss Doris Black; piano solos, “Sea Shanties” and “Vienniese Dance ” Mrs.. Ivon Wilson. Miss Kane, president of the Pioneer Club, proposed a very hearty vote of thanks to Mrs. Wilson and to those who had helped her in presenting such a delightful Supper concluded the evening’s proceedings.
