ALL BLACK’S DEATH
Inquest Adjourned MANY ATTEND FUNERAL By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, September 5. Evidence of identification only was given at the inquest into the death of the All Black, Mr. B. P. Palmer, this morning. The inquest was then adjourned, pending the receipt of medical reports. Representatives of many Rugby clubs and other sports bodies attended the funeral, which took place at Otahuhu this afternoon. The pall bearers were Messrs. F. Solomon and Caughey, representing the All Blacks, Messrs. Righton and Lucas, of the Ponsonby Club (Mr. Palmer’s former club), and Messrs. Pearson and Short, representing the Otahuhu club. Wreaths were sent from every Rugby union in New Zealand and every club in Auckland, and telegrams were received by the Auckland Rugby Union from every union in the Dominion and from Mr. W. J. Wallace, manager of the 1932 All Blacks in Australia, and Mr. J. A. McLeod, manager of the 1929 All Blacks in Australia. Mr. Palmer was a member of both teams.
