BUOYANT REVENUE

Commonwealth & N.S.W. MONTH’S IMPROVEMENT , Sydney, August 11. Official statements issued by the Commonwealth and New South Wales State Treasuries indicate buoyant receipts of revenue for July. The Federal revenue for the month was £6,052,000, being £983,000 greater than the expenditure and ,1558,000 greater than the revenue in July last year, which in turn was £840,000 less than the expenditure for that month. There was therefore an Improvement of £1,823,000 in last month’s figures compared with July,. 1931. . . The State revenue for July was £3,083,510, £613,965 more than July, 1931. The ■ expenditure totalled £3,164,355, an Increase of £254,207. Thus the position in July this year Improved by £359,758 compared with the same month of last year.
