MYSTERY TRAIN

To-morrow’s Outing The. truth of that old. proverb “Nothing succeeds likb success” has been remarkably demonstrated in Sydney with the pdpular innovation of Mystery Trains. » -Right from the outset these excursions sprang iuto public favour, which quickly increased. ..until on a recent Sunday in Sydney the tally was 8000. The. experience in all cases was that the excursionists had not only the sense of a happy-outing individually, but a feeling of community joy and buoyancy—a real tonic for the times. It is evident already that [the same results will be seen - in New Zealand. Although the advertising of the first Wellington Mystery Traip did not begin until last Wednesday it- seems already that the project has appealed strongly to .the general public. The arrangements made by the Railway Department are a guarantee ' that 'the, high, expectations of healthful pleasure will not be disappointed. The mystery is so intense that even the drivers of the trains are running under “sealed orders”—not to he opened until the excursion starts. ■ ■ The train per part'of the programme will be concerned with a very interesting route of eight miles, efficiently- guided hy officials of the Railway Department. This outing will be suitable for mild., medium and full strength walkers. ■The Mystery Train- will leave Thorndon at 10.5 a.m. to-morrow,- and will return. to Wellington 5.50 p.m. Guides and hot water will be provided free of charge. -. ■ •' ’j- •
